this OpEd reads as intellectually dishonest. 2 Qs: 1 why is it fine for women to be single-issue voters on abortion but not for others to be on crypto? 2 how is it fine to twist the pro-crypto stance from “supporting economic freedom” to “selfish financial interests”? answer seems to be in the last paragraph

1. Not all issues are equal. 2. In the USA, “economic freedom” is not the motivation for most crypto holders. Most are in the global upper class and are trying to get more wealthy. Many are now using it as an excuse to publicly support the authoritarian grifter they would have voted for anyway.

1. Politically-involved people think single-issue voters are naive. There’s no greater sin for any party faithful. 2. The age of impartial journalism is over. We live in a post-truth society. Authors can and will mix any opinion they like to support their thesis. It’s not fine, it’s just how it is rn.

the only legitimate "single issue voter" subject is whether or not the republic persists and voting is even possible or matters in the future. most mistakes can be fixed, but only if you (or the republic) live to fight another day.

It’s an op-ed, but reads like a high school journalism club op-ed. 😂 Single issue voting isn’t the best way to go about it. But single issue voters still have 1 more issue than the average voter, because voting is a brand thing these days.

if the Blockworks editorial board wants to endorse a candidate, they're free to do that but if they had any journalistic integrity, they would have acknowledge that President Biden is not without his own moral and ethical failings (not to mentioned failed policies)

Very dishonest/bad piece. I think this falls into identity politics, where you're supposed to vote based on your membership in an identity group. The next step is to demonize the identity groups who disagree. Unfortunately this is the standard for political opinion these days, particularly from the "elite" class.

It seems like a click bait story at best coming from a crypto based publication. This is designed for outrage sharing and comments... but anyone that only votes on a single issue is a complete fool.
