very insightful thread with good faith discussion my two cents is along the lines of Dan’s position that POTUS needs to be in constant contact with the cabinet and prepared to respond to crisis at a moments notice China / Taiwan, Russia / Ukraine, Israel / Palestinians / Houthis are all combustible situations which can escalate dramatically and unpredictably at any time I would also argue that in the wake of July 13th we need a leader who is up to (and interested in) the job of uniting the country and turning down the temperature to the maximum extent possible President Biden abjectly failed to lead after former President Trump was shot. no one has been fired, DHS and FBI are not forthcoming, and his calls for unity weren’t even heeded by his own social accounts couple this failure to lead with the debate performance and the fact that he couldn’t recall the name of Secretary Lloyd Austin and I think the only conclusion a reasonable person can make is that he is incapable of carrying out the job
