if i'm coming from nextjs, what is the closest vite-based monorepo setup that lets me do frontend + backend api development? everyone keeps shilling vite to nextjs users but i've never found a good answer for this

I’ve messed around a little bit with hono/client but stuck with vite since there’s so many ecosystem plugins for it, e.g. tailwindcss, shadcn, etc

I just made my own cf + hono + vite + preact starter last week!

btw have you tried hono/client ? no shared types needed, just change the backend and the frontend knows

Possibly! I'm still a little pessimistic, there are so many plugins for Vite like tailwindcss that I'm not sure how easy bun could take over

wonder if you have hopes for bun’s bundler taking over the vite piece too? haven’t kept up with how it’s coming along

I've always been a fan of stacks where you just mix and match for your needs that bloated ones.

When using Ruby I liked using Sinatra more than Rails for example.
