Farcasters who journal on a regular basis, when and how do you do it? What time of the day? On what support (physical notebook, app, etc.)? Do you use prompts?

I never got comfortable enough with the Apple pencil. A bit of a digression, but what else do you use it for?

I don’t have a strict journaling schedule, it just happens to be mornings because I’m a morning person. Generally, I write on whatever I want to think about whenever I want to write it. 

I’ve been lazy and not typed any up or published.

I go back and forth between using a physical journal and doing it online. I used to feel uneasy at the idea that someone might read my journal but typing up doesn't feel as meditative. Writing is slow, it gives me more room to think and feel.

Morning before I start work, or at night before bed if I had a tough day. 

Used to do it all in a Moleskine, I’ve got a collection at this point haha

But now I just use my iPad… bc of password it’s actually more private.

Been using Day One for about 3 years. I try to keep it a consistent time (mornings).

Depending on how busy life is, I go from no prompt to prompts. Lately I've been using the 5 minute journal prompt that I have set up as a template. https://i.imgur.com/Ij677Pw.png

Thank you for sharing! I didn't know Day One. I think I'll steal some of the prompts and start a physical journal.

I dig old computers and used bookstores. 

Lol. I'll be glad if I can break through the performative layer of my quest and actually get something out of it. Building new habits is hard!
