1. crypto twitter was getting annoying at some point (that said, CT also has higher highs despite the lower lows) 2. people profited from $degen etc 3. people are hoping to profit from $thenextthing 4. natively embedded web3 social makes sense + is exciting 5. geographically focused in the US (SF? NY?) make sense to build network if you’re based there

I found myself to be overly pessimistic about the future. Doomscrolling on other platforms didn't help. So I decided to do something about it, and part of that is to surround myself with people who are more optimistic about the future. It's contagious. (I still need to get better at this! Making progress.)

- owning a FC account that can’t be taken away from you is pretty cool - FC is a social network where every acct has an ETH and/or SOL wallet connected which opens up new in-app experiences and emergent behaviour - the FC power-user base is diverse and filled with builders, founders, investors, and just generally interesting people - FC has a very different vibe than crypto twitter, much more focused on building products and infra vs. trading/speculation - FC doesn’t have a “hall monitor” culture like reddit and a variety of political views are welcome
