An underrated benefit of joining an early stage social media network like Farcaster is the lack of competition.

As a creator, you can pick basically any niche — business, fitness, music — and quickly become #1 for that type of content.

The big accounts on IG/X today aren’t the best; they were just first.

hypothetical case, echoing @dwr.eth 's ama answer on ppl coming to far to have a non ruggable audience: 

U built a large follower base as well as a big audience channel on far, in a highly unlikely extreme case of @warpcast rugged, where can u fetch all your followers/channel data/contents, aka social graph and where can u take them? is it all on the hubs? any random hub will have it? anyone building a service like this ( a force majeure back up)?

soooo… at what point does one become a *master streaker*?

Virtually all of the people on Farcaster with large audiences:

1. Don't have large audiences elsewhere (Farcaster is their first time with a large audience)

2. Didn't know me or Varun and didn't know each other. The "Farcaster OG scene" is net new creation of Farcaster.

3. Were early and stuck around when everyone made fun of Farcaster (and people still do)

4. Continued to cast interesting stuff, casted in channels when we suggested people cast in channels

5. Warpcast onboarding asks all users for their interests

6. Based on the interests, we pair the account with an initial set of follows

7. There are 200+ accounts on the list, weighted toward accounts that get the most engagement / drive retention, but a large group of people benefit

8. On our list to improve, but the reality is outside of "I should be on the list!" haven't seen any concrete proposals to improve

The only way to grow on farcaster is to reply to people, individually, with meaningful replies, but unfortunately a lot of people don’t want to put in the work

I’ve yet to see someone make this list and not have a good following

It’s a very different audience than CT

The tell here is they don't report DAU (for a company that's obsessed with DAU and time spent).

Gonna go out on limb and say half of these DAUs are folks that accidentally click on the Threads app once in the month...

Just logged in with CB SW on a PWA.

Much much better experience than signing in via:
- Google (password and 2FA in a PWA bc new enviro).
- Email code (leave, find, come back).
- A mobile wallet (rare that the connection works).

Passkeys are easily accessible in a PWA, and I bring my identity with me.

It just works.

FYI - #2 is possible. Just gotta send L1 ETH to your address and then do your first transaction - didn’t realize.

When debugging a ZKP verifier, make sure to keep checking not just that the proof verifies on valid inputs, but also that the proof verification returns an error on invalid inputs (or with nonsensical tweaks to the verification mechanism).
