Every time I've bought a coin because I thought the person launching it had a big enough reputation that the coin would do well, and I feel like I got a good entry, it has been a flop. I feel like from first principles I know this is true but I still end up buying these for whatever reason

The meme "product" still has to be good for these to end up doing well, just aping something cuz of the person behind it ends up being a losing strategy if the product isn't good

from what I've seen the token does pump and then it crashes. I don't think tokens can sustain the pump unless there is a continuous set of activity that drives attention which might be difficult task for an individual to pull off. probably explains why tokens like Clanker ,ANON, and couple of others have grown/

I donāt like this for you, but it makes me feel a bit better for having the same issues. The current meta (and if Iām really honest, almost all of crypto) is a mismatch with the game Iām willing/able to play. Seems like the bigger the reputation, the bigger some will enter, but theyāre more fickle ā gotta keep that capital working.
