I need your expert advice. 
I'm an experienced skinny runner and want to build some muscles in the upper body. I already do cardio a lot, I just want to increase some mass in the chest, shoulders and biceps, legs are already in good shape.

where do I start?
what equipment do I need to buy to train at home (I'm not a gym guy)? dumbbells, mat and bench?
are there any useful app that helps creating plans? (I don't know anything about strength training). 

give me all the advices you have for a complete beginner.

Day one, review one: The Geek Way

It’s well articulated, it’s by an industry-adjacent person, and it’s pro tech. 

But it’s not going to surprise anyone already steeped in startup culture. 

It advises a four prong recipe for building a successful company culture:

- make data driven decisions 
- promote agency/ownership
- move fast
- be super open

If you’re looking at that and going “hell yeah” then it’s safe to skip this one. 

But it’d be a good handbook for teaching newcomers and outsiders. And it’d make a great passive aggressive birthday gift for a cofounder who thinks his “Steve Jobs level product intuition” trumps your “AB testing data”

Four stars for its type, a solid 101 on healthy tech company culture

Day two: Cod 

It’s hard to credibly convey how compelling Kurlansky’s books are, given the seemingly dull subject matter. The prose is merely fair, but the research is  impeccable and he mixes colorful illustrative anecdotes in at the perfect pace.

My then 5yo never lost interest, which is strong testimony. Four stars for its type. 

His books on salt and onions are also worth reading. For the sake of calibration, I’d cite At Home and The Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson as five star examples of the class.

I've decided to try releasing 100 songs in 100 days in 2024. I'm doing this to  help myself develop as a producer, video editor and songwriter, and I think this is a great way to help improve my technique.

This first song was posted on my instagram on the 1st of Jan, and I'm now adding it to all my socials. It's kind of a power ballad type song with orchestral backing. I will also upload another song later today.

I hope by the end of this project that I have improved in all these categories, and would love some feedback, tips, and to collaborate!

For instance I have no idea what to do with my face in this recording😅
