Wallets embedded in apps vs. Apps embedded in wallets (or browsers or OS's w/ wallets) Which is more likely?

I worry about "wallets in apps" feeling like silos to the end-user. They should be able to see everything they "own" in one space.

Likely both. agree with @rish: many of #1 and a few of #2 And Zerion-like apps to aggregate holdings, cash out and spin down wallets, move funds to your super secure wallets, etc.

wallets in apps feels like the right vibe b/c eod it will force focus on apps w/ utility and not behaviour like "wen token"

for sure apps embedded in wallets. Great example: Wechat. Everything you need you can find in wechat pay: all tickets, parking fee, food delivery, movies, hair saloon... Was a normal app for chatting and become a meta app after linking to wechat pay.

First one. Wallets should be a utility that should be called upon only when necessary (e.g., signing transaction). Not too dissimilar to the Apple Pay "drawer"

native wallet with a great API that individual apps tap into perhaps an exception would be apps that use their own chain, then i guess the wallet would be contained within the app ideal experience would be a user using the app and not knowing anything about a โ€œwalletโ€/address

Wallets in apps (already here). Then Browser native support. Then OS native. And meanwhile few apps that try to become WeChat of West.
