if anything, ppl have been taking the piss out of farcaster for it's "christian rap" energy. Bluesky has the opposite problem, a lot of blueanon resistlib types. also more neurodivergent ppl, which in isolation is great & all, but they tend to be political authoritarians. This generally has the effect of lowering the signal-to-noise ratio of the platform. That being said, they are ahead in terms of user adoption among journalists & scientists, which does elevate the SNR quite a bit. I think it would be easier to merge the FC & ATProto protocols than convince the median BSky user to try FC. (All of this only applies to English-speaking anglophone Bluesky of course, they've adopted a lot of Japanese & Brazilian users successfully, but it's like an orthogonal social network for different languages)
