I know degen is a strong community here - have folks figured out how to proliferate the meme without N number of people responding to a cast with degen tips? Doesn't really add anything to the conversation. There has to be a way of expanding the degen universe without posting random replies, right?

What would you suggest? The tipping mechanism has the right intentions and it will only continue for the next 10ish days but I agree that there's a fair amount of farming/spamming degen tips

1/5 One option would be to implement Degen tipping at the Farcaster client level. It would be cool if Warpcaster open-sourced their code, making forking a web client super easy. Otherwise, creating a Farcaster client from scratch requires massive amounts of effort.

the meme is riding the money. this one's not about meme profileration; it's a distribution mechanism and it is time limited. hopefully the frenzy dies down as the incentives dry up. i do expect to see echos of it in the network forever tho

I’m not tech savvy. I do wonder rather than an entire new client is there a way to add a plug-in which would give you an added feature. A button like Tip +Amt your coin of choice. The ux of warps is great at the moment. And keeps the bar clean. Perhaps it’s more mint with 1000 $Degen kind of ideas for better.

I feel like the right solution here is for clients to support automatically hiding replies that are nothing but a tip command. I know that's not helpful in the meantime, though.

Wouldn't the most "simple" (and I'm using that loosely here) solution be to integrate degen tips into a client? Like how you can tip warps, but instead be able to choose to tip $DEGEN, and show the daily allowance, etc
