Whaaat! Hang on. I was day1 with Steem & day2 with Farcaster. I don’t agree. Farcaster is a field for a thousand flowers. Steem had funky Tokenomics, weak management & so-so apps. Farcaster has none of that. What mistakes were you thinking of?

Assuming I get the "Definancialize" It won't work, most of the builder crowd is here because their target audience is here and thanks to airdrop culture, they expect something in return. Protocol native NFT, $Degen is a major user onboarding factor, remove that and see drop in activity.

I wouldnt say definancialize. But I do think that financialization shouldn't be the main focus. It should be entertaining/thoughtful content.

Tbh, its sort of a feature not a bug. That said, a neat thing is you can actually just make/use a client that filters out this stuff.

I would love to see it but what (and who) is left if crypto is definancialized? Or: how to make the step from web3 degens (no aping no degens) to real world adoption and users? Lens had imo a pretty much definancialized approach resulting in losing devs and artists to fc and $DEGEN. Now lens has $BONSAI πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Imo the farcaster system to incentivize people posting giving them tip allowances is pretty cool. Most of the past projects had the problem of people not buying the token. Here you can just farm it through real and organic engagement. I think we'll se if it works or not very soon. BULLISH AF
