Iād differ between - the ānormal degen cultureā aka increased (early Stage) liquid market activity during good times that can bootstrap economies & enable new lighthouse projects; - and the āembraced 0/negative sum degen cultureā to draw purely short-term financial gains which may in fact also lead to long-term ecosystem wins because activity begets more activity (despite also drowning genuine, not hyperfinancialized, slow growth project builders in the ecosystem)

+1, ādegen cultureā is an oxymoron to me, itās the absence of culture. Degen is to embrace lower urges of humans, like greed and envy. Degen games arenāt zero sum, as you become a slave to your lower urges and are literally losing it. In the long run, everyoneās better off with positive sum games.
