Anyone else find themselves needing a caffeine detox once or twice a year? How long do you give yourself before going back and what are your alternatives in the interim?

A week or two is usually sufficient for me. I use L-theanine, alpha GPC, and other nootropics to offset during that time if I still have to work. Ideally I typically do a detox during a long holiday when I won’t have to stay on point mentally as much.

I've done it a few times. I've stopped cold turkey for a month or two, and I've also switched over to just drinking (usually herbal) tea. I love the taste of coffee more than the boost, but honestly it just bothers me too much anymore. I'm sticking with tea for now.

I've never done one, but it no longer gives me a pick-up. I can drink a pot and go to bed. A doc fren told me that my liver no longer recognizes the caffeine (or something like that) and to do 30 days on Milk Thistle (just a supplement) and to stop drinking it after 1pm. AHHHH The struggle is real, I LOVE ME SOME COBBBEEEE.
