I recently read Will Durant's 'The Story of Philosophy' based on a recommendation from a friend. It's one of the best books I've read this year. I never "got" philosophy. It seemed too abstract. This book was an excellent introduction: https://www.philmohun.com/philosophy/

Will Durant has written amazing books, Ariel Durant his wife is the other half of the amazing duo and together they have written amazing history overview books as well
