Who here has tinnitus? I have a constant ringing in my ears (usually worse at night) that’s roughly in the 14khz range. No cure, nothing I’ve found to help that much with symptoms either. Only way to live with it is to learn to accept it. https://www.szynalski.com/tone-generator/

I have tinnitus as a result of my military service. Discharged a weapon too many times without hearing protection (was not allowed to wear ear plugs in combat). It’s worst in quiet settings. It’s there but faintly during normal activities.

certain things amplify it, like the period after talking a shower…but in general, the less I focus on it the more it’s forgotten

Weird timing. I just woke up, sitting in bed and turned off my fan so it got really quiet. And I noticed my ears were ringing. Maybe I have it too?

Mine started a few months ago suddenly in my right ear. I went through a lot of testing over the course of a couple months, and it was incredibly stressful. It has fluctuated over time, but it is now much less noticeable. I did try sound therapy for a bit. I didn't do it consistently, but it was very soothing.

I've had it too many times that reading about tinnitus makes me notice a very constant high pitched sound and it lasts for days. Thank God for my creaking ceiling fan not letting me focus on it.

I get it very intermittently — it almost feels like the ears are transmitting out and reflecting back into ears. If I put my hands over my ears loosely (cupped vs flush) it gets much louder. Sort of like feedback.

Wondering if heavy AirPods use has made it more common? Feels like I’m hearing about it from lots of people. Friend of mine been suffering badly with pulsatile tinnitus. Sounds really tough to live with 😔I’m sorry you’re dealing with it too

Always have, always had it as far as I can remember. Luckily I'm used to it and it's not super loud otherwise I wouldn't know what to do.

Always wonder how people distinguish this from the tone that normal healthy people hear. Like how does it interfere with your life?
