I remember this arriving in a French publishing house I was working at at the time and the art director asking me if we should publish a French edition. I was like, "Hell, yeah!" I still think this is one of the best books for those wanting to dip into the domain. Beautifully designed too.

Sidenote: The second edition of this book was designed by the studio of two of my friends, Prof. Julia Kühne and Christian Schiller. I'm working closely with them on different web projects and we're currently developing a web app for self-hosted corporate design guidelines and asset libraries.

had the university library bought it back in the day, and I personally have the newer edition, which is much less beautiful as a book, but considerably cheaper. Recommended.
