I was checking out the telegram mini app development, you just need good ideas to implement, consumer/audience is already there.

Noticing some of the people on Twitter with big audiences who onboarded early to Farcaster and churned spending more time here. Still not casting a ton, but lurking, liking, etc. (Not crypto people, either.)

Added more M31 and binary field support to zorch: https://github.com/vbuterin/zorch Now you can write reasonably-performant STARK proving code that runs on your GPU, in python! Below is the full arithmetization of poseidon. I welcome others taking this and running with it.

I am noticing that the most successful new ideologies of the past decade are very object-level (prescriptions on specific issues) and quite little meta-level (social processes for making decisions on object-level issues). Examples: * Abstract libertarianism feels much weaker than 10 years ago. But issue-specific versions of it are quite successful: YIMBY (housing), the crypto space * e/acc (it's about all technology in theory, but ends up being about AI in practice) * The largest cluster in effective altruism morphed from being meta-level ("think harder to making sure your donations are going where they can do the most good!") to object level (AI safety, with a little bit of animal welfare and global public health) * Longevity movement Maybe network states and Glen and Audrey's Plurality movement are two exceptions - but in general the above feels like a strong pattern. Any ideas why this meta level -> object level shift seems to be taking place?

I'm starting to feel like the most viable path out of the misuse of "ZK" is to just use the word "proof" to refer to a validity proof where you don't care about revealing the full information. And just favor "rollup" over "ZK rollup", and "EVM proof / prover / proving" over "ZK-EVM", where practical.

There are 4294967295 hard problems in working with the mersenne31 field: non-pure library functions that look like pure functions, naming things, and off by 4 errors.

Reality: a Twitter-like network accrues status in a power law to wordcels. AI-driven translation works for basic communication, but unlikely to hit the bar for nuanced / high in-group humor. Non-English Twitter doesn't really overlap with terminally online English-speaking Twitter (which is mostly American coastal elites). Play a different game. Use a different client. Focus on visual media (probably in a different client).

I don't get it man I think we need to go slow, first build onchain databases then we can "try" to build event handling with less gas cost, honestly it's not possible right now we need to build more robust cost effective and decentralized ecosystem in order to achieve decentralized onchain gaming

Farcaster should have (near-)unlimited length messages like twitter. Having used it for a while, I feel like twitter's long message feature improves its user experience and its usefulness for high quality discussion.

Im biased for Farcon 2025 to be in NYC. Instead of having drama around the next Farcon, what if we just do it like the Olympics? All cities submit a bid and then the community can more clearly make a decision
