Reality: a Twitter-like network accrues status in a power law to wordcels. AI-driven translation works for basic communication, but unlikely to hit the bar for nuanced / high in-group humor. Non-English Twitter doesn't really overlap with terminally online English-speaking Twitter (which is mostly American coastal elites). Play a different game. Use a different client. Focus on visual media (probably in a different client).

Not in favor of auto-translation. However, I had to create a second twitter account to post in Greek. Then I realized it's really complicated to maintain two accounts, and the boundaries are not so clear. I ended up abandoning the second one. At some point they introduced language filters, but it was too late for me, I had already given up.

I often find myself using a mixture of English and Japanese - especially for expressions like すごい! - does mix language cause issues?

Message received. I will ask my Japanese friends to cast English in the English channels to be more visible and engage with more power badge users. They are willing to try.

I think we will eventually have a globally recognized language utilizing ONLY Emojis. If that's not already established, it will. IMO of course.

I was hoping that it was not clear whether there would be adaptation for us Japanese users or not. Thank you for your clear answer this time.🙏

Your completely fading the influence of Asia on crypto 😩 For instance the Chinese Bitcoin market is wild, BRC20 volume was unreal & at one point Twitter inscriptions were blowing up…. We should be as accommodating as possible to keep interactions mixed & free flowing vs siloed.

i’ve had great experience vibing with and having nuanced/ “high in group humor” interactions with users of a native different language and limitations at that level. in some ways it can work exactly the opposite. the limitations can enhance forms of communication through various basic forms of online interaction. so i straight call bullshit on that claim. you just have a very narrow point of view about it and , yet again, are imposing that on the experience of others with weak arguments to justify it. dissapointing attitude - and on this point you are just flat out wrong. if anything can be accounted for as a skill issue on your account tbh.
