I just wrote a pretty long essay in the Warpcast compose tab on Desktop and accidentally clicked out of it. Lost all of my progress - first time I've experienced extreme frustration with the app 😰 @dwr.eth now that we can cast beyond character limits, more is at stake when composing. Casts should be auto-saved as drafts - especially if above 320 chars.

When I say "clicked out" - I think I might have even just moved the cursor. I didn't see a confirmation screen.

+1 similar problems with Delete Cast, should require double confirmation However now that you know that, compose elsewhere for the time being :) always a best practice

I just finished a PR on @anser-social.eth to change that behavior. shadcn Dialog component exits by default when clicking outside. Auto saving drafts is cool, but I guess ultimately you didn't expect it to close.

When you say Desktop, do you mean the web version, or the desktop app? I'm not sure why there is even a latter, the web version is great.

Been there. Heart sank and almost made me miss Twitter. As others have said, best to compose elsewhere or use mobile. Personally I use Supercast for desktop and Warpcast on mobile.

Auto-saving drafts is essential for long compositions. Frustration at losing progress is valid.
