Question assumes that Web3 will create moats. That seems unproven. What if Web3’s effect is to make moats less powerful? To give power back to creators?

Peace of mind Web3’s value prop is removing intermediaries. But you still end up needing to trust a final intermediary: code in the smart contract The more value safeguarded & longer the code's been around, the more peace of mind when using it. E.g. WETH9 has crazy moat because of its massive elapsed dollar-hours

I think network effects are the moat and will remain so. What changes is *who* has that moat. Today, it's platforms. In the future, it'll be communities.
