Do you expect the number of different stablecoins to 1) increase, 2) decrease, or 3) stay about the same, over time?

Increase and I strongly feel that people should keep experimenting with algo stables.

There has been multiple attempts to create the perfect stablecoin Most of them failed AMPL, DSD, RSD, UST are some failed example on top of my mind. Until we find the perfect long lasting algo, no. will only INCREASE Although regulations will be restricting factor from now on

Was just thinking about posting about this. Stablecoins should definitely increase - the challenge however always remains what it’s going to backed by as to not be able to censor it.

Decrease in the long run, protocols eventually become monopolies. Look at Email, DNS, TCP/IP…

for stablecoins in general, probably increase (stable euro, stable rmb, stable other currencies). For stable USD coins specifically, actually think probably USDC will gain market share continuously. Other things (issued by corporates, such as BUSD) will exist, but rare.

Increase for sure. I don't know when but would assume most governments would have some form or stablecoin at some point, even some interesting use cases for big companies, etc.
