🌶️ The problem here isn’t that Highlights and Following tabs are in the wrong order, it’s that there are basically no good posters on Farcaster. Scrolling through What’s Hot on Bluesky should be a wake up call to get more non-builders casting

I’ve made a similar point a few times - even a quick glance at BS makes it super clear that the avg joke is def a cut above Farcaster Snark aside tho, it really doesn’t seem to get much beyond faux nihilist status games (yet) Great for beating twitter, bad for building a new internet So I’m still 🟪🥲🫡

I've tried a few times to find good content on BS (10+ min of scrolling on highlights + rabbit holes) and genuinely can't find anything interesting. (The last time, not exaggerating, over 50% of top posts had something to do with banning "Fascists") Do you have examples of stuff from BS highlights that you like a lot?

IMO We are going to have to go beyond just status updates and build something unique and meaningful for the niche communities we have and use that to attract other people who are in those communities and then in related communities . I’ve seen a lot of “hot takes” that don’t seem so hot recently. It’s weird. The comparison game seems to take most by storm. There are different things at play that don’t require the same “poster” across all socials. The “quality here vs there” is yesterday-years, rendering this take medium.

100%. Finding good posters is difficult here. Im spending more time on the search filters than on the suggested feeds. And i started muting bots that post often but uninteresting things. Getting a quality feed seems like it will take some work. Need more posters AND more ways to find interesting ones.

Na I disagree. It‘s just taste difference between the two of us. Bluesky posters are a very particular type and I‘m not interested in their content as much as I‘m interested in FC poster content.

I don’t think this is a problem at all. Different vibes for different times and different folks. Farcaster is starting with builders in a slow-growth strategy of expanding an ecosystem by giving devs a new protocol to build off of. Bluesky is using a surge-growth model for actively stress-testing the app.
