I remember when I got my citizenship recently they ask you, with a straight face, questions like whether you've ever tried to overthrown a govt or been part of an organized crime syndicate. I wonder if they'll waive some of these questions given there's $5m at stake

Perhaps the most intriguing part of this proposal is that gold card holders only pay tax on US sourced income, or so Trump claims, unclear how that would work

I guess this technically already exists as EB-5, he’s just changing the rules from investing $1 million into a U.S. business to paying $5 million directly to the U.S. government. But the idea stays the same, it was always for sale and a route that many sketchy individuals with tons of money have used.

No tax for outside US interests but access to US markets and tax only payable on US interests Incredibly good deal for high networth individuals looking for US exposure or who just like the lifestyle for some reason
