In about to launch a TestFlight for a project I am really excited to share but I’m worried it will be difficult to get people to try it. Any advice for recruiting beta testers? What kind of things should I communicate and what perks could I offer?

dude, get out of here. post it and we will share the shit out of it and I’ll beta test the crap out of that thing, right after I put the kids down, wash the dishes, and have my nite cap. but yeah don’t sweat that, we want to test more products. You didn’t know?

Actually was also wondering where to cast about the product. Do you think to make your own channel? Cast in relevant channel? Or just in the feed?

getting users is more difficult than building the app getting good users is more difficult than getting users getting good users who continue using it is the hardest strap in, welcome aboard

Post it, but also check out Departures.to as well as the TestFlight subreddit. Both are frequent haunts for a growing community of people like me who check out new TF builds literally every day to stay ahead of the curve. Tweeting with the term “TestFlight” in the tweet helps too. I also check that daily.

- First, always tell everyone what you’re working on, even if you have nothing to show. This warms people up to the idea of what you’re building and you get early feedback/advice. - Ask them what perks they want. - Repeat this cycle a few times to build trust and show progress

Just create a tempting launch post and make it invite-only, requests will follow. Send invites via DM, then you're already in contact with your beta users and can ask for feedback a couple of days later.
