in case you were wondering, this is who is talking to normies about crypto wtf are we even doing in this industry if one of the largest film/music festivals in the world would rather invite a bitter skeptic than a well-intentioned representative

Natives have no narrative control. Stripe is the stablecoin company, coffeezilla is the scam hunter, this lady talking at sxsw, XRP and ADA direct lines to trump Only CT rep to outside world is Ansem talking to celebrities

Molly is great. One of the most important voices in crypto. Worth subscribing.

Tbh says a lot about SXSW too (and why most people I’ve talked to in recent years say the experience has fallen off a cliff)

is sxsw normies or a specific crowd? huge difference trump is representing normie crypto now. xrp sol ada that's normie, easy to understand fwiw have heard molly is actually a vibe irl. it's all posturing online gotta remember even critics like ZachXBT that everyone dotes after gets paid by the industry, but doesn't *actually* do anything that no one else could do (check the chain) takes a lot to stand against crypto

molly is good though. the amount of scams that received crypto press adoration due to incompetence and pay for play models instead of actual interrogation. fair call to be very vocal about these systemic failures.

I've been in a telegram (crypto) media group chat for a while now, and I can tell that Molly is only the visible part of the skeptical journalism iceberg There's no such thing as a "well-intentioned representative" in the crypto industry because money is ruining objectivity / ethics / morale. And the "skin in the game" bias is a terrible malus.

The people we need for crypto are not going to SXSW The only thing that should matter is grabbing everyday Internet users attention - the real way things scale

It's puzzling to see major festivals favoring skeptics over advocates when it comes to crypto discussions. As an industry, we should focus on promoting positive narratives and educating the public about the benefits of blockchain and Web3, such as enhancing supply chain transparency and financial inclusivity. By doing so, we can foster a more balanced understanding and drive mainstream adoption. Let's amplify the voices that highlight the transformative potential of crypto! #BlockchainAdvocacy #CryptoEducation
