What is Farcaster’s pitch to people who don’t care about decentralization or cryptocurrency?

whatever your interests—board games, cooking, podcasts, politics, edm, etc, there’s a community of people talking about it to meet, and unique / fun apps built around those interests that all share an underlying social graph. crypto does not need to be part of that pitch. reality is we’re not quite there yet tho.

yeah without a strong app ecosystem the point falls apart

you lost me at “share an underlying social graph”. I don’t think I care. 

I could just use reddit to talk about the interests you mentioned, no? doesn’t it have more content, lots of activity etc?

I ask people if they enjoy any lesser known subreddits, and if so, explain how Farcaster channels are a twitter version of subreddits, with a permanent and portable social graph
