I would love your analysis of Brave Wallet and where and how you think we can improve given our product aims for superior privacy and security. For example, by proxying RPC calls.

i haven't even tried the brave wallet because i'm wary of the vertical integration. i don't want a wallet that has an interest in what browser i use and vice versa

What do you like most about Rabby and TallyHo on desktop? Besides being FOSS and privacy centric (which Brave also is).

And on mobile, Coinbase Wallet and Zerion, is it mainly UI/UX or are there specific features you only get with those? Assuming you use iOS?

None. 
On desktop Rabby is better than MM.

TallyHo is FOSS and more privacy preserving.

On Mobile CW >Zerion

I’ve used brave since the beginning and the various wallet implementations. I have recently switched to Arc though and really love it too.
I barely use metamask anymore, usually frame when using a computer.
The latest brave wallet is nice, but I like frame being standalone rather than tied to browser.

WalletConnect with Rainbow iOS? i.e you're scanning a QR code/signing on your phone?

Although I’m using Arc a lot these last months, when I’m on brave I choose WalletConnect+Rainbow (sometimes Uniswap wallet) or just Frame (when using HW)

soft wallets are over and metamask won. don’t bother. move to AA wallets and passkeys

Interesting. What issues specifically? Would love to help troubleshoot that for you as we strive to support Ledger and Trezor equally.

I use Brave but not the wallet so much because I’ve had trouble connecting it to Trezor.

So for you it’s ultimately a question of compatibility on the app side. Like how EVs started out limited by range and charger location but with time grew to be more viable for everyday people. Thanks!

have been a brave browser user for years but still do not use brave wallet. just seemed unnecessary considering i had metamask first. got coinbase wallet because i heard about it having the browser feature which would help mobile tx. no longer really use metamask either, just CB wallet really

Abstraction meaning simplicity? I hear you on spreading out your eggs. The counter to that argument is why trust two entities when you only need to trust one? Minimize attack surface. Especially if the one you pick is open source like Brave. In any case I respect your decision to protect your assets as you see fit :)

For me It's less about which one is better, but more about a certain level of abstraction I'm comfortable with. While convenient, having everything in one place/company can become a real liability.

Zerion and Rabby answers work too! Great wallets, in the same boat as us though. Metamask has crazy market share— have all the Farcasters moved on to better wallets or do most still just us MM?

Mr Zerion himself! MM is synonymous with crypto, but clearly with all the wallets that have emerged, there’s a need that they aren’t fulfilling. Going up against monopolies is kind of Brave’s thing, and hasn’t stopped us yet.

I think Metamask isn’t better than brave :) There are plenty of cool wallets, but Metamask has a first mover advantage on that, which is on another side slow down developed of projects like Brave Wallet. 

Lukas, what do you think in general about MM monopoly on that ?

Mostly evoked set, and use it across browsers and devices

I know this is about wallets, but I dislike Brave for a few reasons:
* founder's views on LGBTQ+
* link/referral cheese that Brave is/was doing
* google's massive marketshare on browsers

That said, I do use Brave on my laptop, but I don't use the wallet for no other reason than "I just haven't".
