Recruiting AMA! I was (and am) a tech recruiter for 4 years. I’ve scaled a company from 7-35 in a year and hired every founding functional role in a seed stage startup. :)

Any advice for getting generalist/chief of staff roles at a startup for a young person?

Your best bet is to work at an early stage co (under 10 people) as a generalist. I hope you don't mind me stalking your LinkedIn, but your experience points to event management, not necessarily hard early-stage startup skills.

You need to directly work on attaining these metrics: https://foundersnetwork.com/blog/startup-metrics/#:~:text=Net%20profit%2C%20also%20known%20as,of%20your%20startup's%20overall%20profitability. and having full ownership over them
