(Part I) Most important skill in growth = great writing skills. It also helps to be honest and critical of your positioning (in market + versus competitors).

(Part II) If you're in a new space or there isn't too much information out there, develop empathy and near-obsession with your target audience. Spend time with them, read what they read, speak like they speak. Then, you make bets based on data and sometimes gut-feel.

Nice! Saving this for later. I think being involved and associating with your buyers is key. Too many companies building in a vacuum, as an observer of a certain buyer or user. If that makes sense? That makes it impossible to be truly empathetic.

Yes makes sense. You need to know how people are feeling, not necessarily how they are thinking
