Hot/annoying take re: consumer crypto such as Rodeo and Zora: ~$0.26 per mint is still way too much for the average user to casually mint what they like at scale. How many posts do I like on IG/minute? Maybe 3-5. This = ~$1 per minute in crypto land. Don't get me wrong, I love the apps and I know it is the network, not them. But I still think about these things.

an argument would be that likes are not equivalent to mints. it’s natural to want them to be, but they can’t be if 4 costs $1.

we need to keep role modelling this new behaviour and coach/teach/challenge the next person we onboard to be more focused and contained with their fat fingers. minting at $0.25 aka slow food? We need a meme to educate people why paying a sth. is better than nothing (no ads etc.)

Yeah it’s like a fundamental problem I think. Not sure minting as a super-like you pay for is long-term compelling
