I grew up learning not to take career risks. Be a doctor (was pre-med) or work way up a mega corp (joined AIG) I didn't feel taking risks was available until my husband @wwarren who grew up having an entrepreneur dad encouraged me it's an option Feel very lucky to be able to and feel comfortable with taking risks

i didn’t have someone from my inner circle for that but grateful for the internet making startup stories accessible. i was the only one in my group of friends who joined a startup back then and i’ve never regretted any part of it. funny enough, found out my high school desk mate cofounded a (biotech) startup too!

Indeed. Taking calculated risks is so important when it comes to pursuing your dreams, as well as having the tolerance to failures.

you have no idea how I can relate to that! My husband also opend up my mind about entrepreneurship and risk taking. An entire new world of opportunities. He also had relatives as role models and comes from a background w/o safety nets. So risks are viewed very differently. I’m very happy perusing my passion now:)
