One of the ways I pick which neighborhood to stay at when I'm nomading full-time 1. Find restaurants I want to try and add on a map (Google maps or Yelp) 2. See neighborhood that is in closest proximity to most of them 3. Check on Reddit if it's a safe neighborhood and then book :)

Excellent advice. I also look for the closest public transport, I've often found that it's easier and cheaper to stay further out from a city/destination and get the train/bus in.

Thank you. When living in Japan, I often don't worry much about No 3. Have you ever been in danger?

Hi Linda! Question on BountyCaster; I would like to set up a bounty where I reward ERC1155 NFTs from our game, /farconic I'd like multiple claimants to be able to receive an NFT. Is this possible?

Love this. We actually chose our current apartment in Okinawa on 1) proximity to big supermarket and 2) within acceptable commuting range to wife's work. Turned out to be a super in-demand area 🤷‍♂️

I do something similar for deciding where to travel. Check out the hotels and restaurants first!

Not quite the same, but when I travel in the US with family, I try to find a town listed in “100 best small art towns in America”. It hasn’t disappointed. Good food and locally owned establishments are a huge plus though, and I have to look that up online. The book was written awhile ago…

I do the same, but not using yelp and reddit:) I always start with reading about neighborhoods online. Districts to stay in “Rome” etc

I would definitely be all about the places to eat too, especially local places that serve regional food. I'm a bit of a picky eater but like trying local cuisine.
