I drove up to Cincy to play D&D only to discover that 2 of the players cancelled last minute. 😆 So, we played a couple games of Ark Nova, got some Emerald Flame time in, and (finally) got Gaia Project on to the table. Sounds like I have some folks willing to play GP now. (photo taken round 1 of the game)

I have been sharing what I'm learning about ADHD (and my own thriving mechanisms) with my son. Today is one of my remote days. My son (who is homeschooled) asked if I'd be willing to do body doubling to keep him on task today. Proud dad. (as an aside, I originally posted AD&D instead of ADHD...shows where my mind is at).

What was your most memorably "irrelevant plot detail" that your players pursued? For me, they had an NPC captured and brought to an Underdark city. The players not only went after the NPC (and abandoning the central plot), but they made the city their home base...and it was kinda great...

First session for Familiar Things is on the books! They made it through 3 encounters in 3 hours of play. We're roughly 1/4 of the way through the first adventure. And as I expected, the only combat so far was the one at the beginning (an obligatory one)...the rest they solved through social encounters.
