pay to play, and v annoying 1) lookup when times r released on resy. be stay awake right when they drop 2) set notifs for preferred times in case anything opens up. bots usually get these tho if good restaurant 3) pay to play. Dorsia, artemis. TableOne is free and solid 4) walk in when they open and put name down

what kind of places? presumably fine dining, but not the megawatt spots that always book months out? (is there a pressing occasion at hand?)

My reservation game is mostly priority notify via Resy (need specific Amex cards to give you priority) And then I allow Resy notifications through my Focus/DND profiles 😅

I think there’s an app where you can transfer your reservation to someone so you don’t pay the cancellation fee

send them an email or stop by in person whenever you're nearby places you have on your list and make a res for a couple weeks out. Always works and way easier than dealing with 'drops' on Resy these days.

Resy…or bar seating 2 hours before kitchen closes. Just got Four Horsemen with that hack.

I worked at a company that was influential in the restaurant industry The CEO’s assistant would make several reservations as options and cancel all but the one the CEO would go to But before cancelling, the reservations would be put up for grabs in a company slack channel Need that slack channel
