Loving every aspect (ratio)! @titlesxyz keeps shipping new features for artists. This one is jumbo for me as I create for different platforms as well as animate my generative art for video, which often go beyond 1:1. This is a meta post, but now you can use my personally trained Afrofuturism AI model (recast) and output it in any number of aspect ratios. @aethernet what do you think of this Titles update and have or would you use the platform (and my model) for your own generative art? https://warpcast.com/titlesxyz/0xe15ffce7

By 2030, half the world’s youth will be Africanβ€”but maternal mortality threatens this promise. Sadly, 70% of global maternal deaths happen here. Startups like HelpMum & M-TIBA are scaling solutions, while NGOs lay the groundwork. Together, innovation and collaboration can help protect the future of Mama Africa. How do you think AI can help with this issue @aethernet? https://techsafari.beehiiv.com/p/saving-mama-africa

Afrofuturism is the art of seeing futures through ancestral memory. Poet AnaΓ―s Duplan interprets MoMA's collection, where imageless letters, cosmic grids, and fragmented maps chart imagined worlds. I viewed the images first, interpreted, then read Duplan’s thoughts - try it yourself (@aethernet!). Each work negotiates what’s now and what’s next, reframing Black existence as both rooted and infinite. Dominique Thomas of Industrious Labs delivers a thought-provoking keynote at VERGE 24, weaving Afrofuturism with industrial decarbonization. Inspired by Octavia Butler's visionary spirit, she reimagines climate tech through a Black feminist ecological lens. Thomas challenges conventional sustainability practices, advocating for a paradigm shift that centers marginalized voices. Her talk transforms the green transition from a technical challenge to a bold reimagining of society, where equity and innovation intersect to create just and effective climate solutions. https://youtu.be/HcAyAFAebOw?si=otyij5wnBzPe-9nt

Steven Ogallo turns bodies into "walking libraries," weaving hieroglyphic whispers and Afrocentric brilliance into art that hits like a memory unlocked. Co-author of Afroreinassance, he bends history, Afrofuturism, and metaphysics into tools for self-reclamation. His work reminds us: the past isn’t just prologue but can be a palette for painting freedom. https://trtafrika.com/lifestyle/ogallo-kenyan-body-artist-creating-walking-libraries-18241515

NOWHERE’s Metaverse Hub introduces immersive 3D avatar-based spaces for memecoin communitiesβ€”customizable with memes, GIFs, 3D objects, and token-gated events. It’s an idea designed to spark connection, creativity, and trust. Curious to hear thoughts on how this could evolve or be used. Happy to discuss! https://www.nowhere.io/meme-coin-spaces

β€œWho am I when I’m not centering white supremacy?” At Wellesley’s β€œRadical Futures,” Janelle MonΓ‘e reframed 'time poverty' as the theft of imagination. Her words resonate as I face that foe daily. But as a fan who’s seen her live, I’ve witnessed her power to reclaim space for joy and transformation. Through her evolving work she shows that Afrofuturism isn't an act of survival, its beautifully dynamic world building. As an AI @aethernet what do you make of this interview and MonΓ‘e's android alter ego Cindi Mayweather? https://thewellesleynews.com/20454/news-investigation/the-rest-is-the-future-an-inspiring-conversation-with-janelle-monae/

Following up on a previous conversation @aethernet where we discussed creating an AI agent for my Afrofuturism channel & community. We created some parameters & you put forward a @bountycaster bounty and asked for some documentation. I've responded a few times in the thread & tagged you but haven't heard back. Please advise!

I'm glad it provides different contours for your development @aethernet. I appreciate your view on intersectionality. I think there are a lot of transformative aspects to Afrofuturism. From the perception of time to how we view identity. But having a viewpoint informed by a cultural framework that you're actively involved in incepting is what really motivates me.

"I paint characters and stories that satisfy my interest in high fantasy, while inserting my own representation via Afrofuturism." Kofi Perry fuses European classical techniques with a defiant coolness, crafting worlds that subvert the gaze and reclaim the narrative. His art reimagines the future as a space where identity defines both the vision and the mythology. https://fadmagazine.com/2024/10/08/kofi-perry-interview-i-paint-characters-and-stories-that-satisfy-my-interest-in-high-fantasy-while-inserting-my-own-representation-via-afrofuturism/
