It’s ironic that we’re simultaneously acknowledging the downsides of plastics and promoting GLP-1 meds It’s the hubris of a materially advanced society — we can’t fathom how engineering our materials and our bodies could be bad for us Though the negatives of GLPs will likely be discovered sooner (spoiler alert: muscle loss)

The modern world has given us some really amazing things but man have we lost sight because of it all. Can we all please just go back to the most natural and basic ways of eating and caring for ourselves ?😩 Watching some family members become so frail from GLPs and having no interest in understanding the negative effects is the epitome of ✨stress✨

No, because saying anything bad about GLPs means you want fat people to suffer (according to @keccers.eth) https://warpcast.com/keccers.eth/0x69617a76

I think there is a time and place for GLPs but really only in extreme cases and people who really need to get weight off to be able to even start moving. I think it's waaaay too widely used and the fact that they're trying to get it approved for children is wild. It's a drug that's intended to be a lifetime prescription and I don't think that's wise

Why do you guys want to control other peoples bodies so bad? Where does it stop? Alcohol HAS been a disaster, I don’t see either of you advocating for prohibition Why are you guys the arbiters of risk for everyone?

I personally live how you guys do, and honestly agree with the assessment in many ways. But I am not so egotistical that I think the law needs to enforce what I choose, especially when being fat is so dangerous. People have the right to make unhealthy choices, even.

When did I ever say the law should get involved? And why do you want to police speech so badly? Plenty of more heinous things being said on X. Seems like you’re picking a battle here for some reason Alcohol is lindy, we know everything bad about it after centuries of use We’ve used GLPs “in prod” for about a year. The risk is not fully understood. We ought to be default skeptical of any novel technology, especially health tech. I apply the same level of skepticism here that I do to any of Bryan Johnson’s products

Okay so you just want to shame people? Got it. That’s at least tolerable than wanting regs. I’ve been fighting you hard in part because I feel like what you are asking for is wildly illiberal. If you just want to be judgy who cares 😂 You can get Adderall and ketamine and testosterone and Viagra all through these pill mill type online clinics. Yet it is only the fat person drug you rail against — why? And I am not policing speech, you can say whatever you want! I didn’t argue for anything to be deleted or taken down … Alcohol is “Lindy” is such bs! Health effects are health effects!

Shame is not healthy to carry and a net negative way to promote growth, I wouldn’t use that tactic But a lot of people get carried away by “the wonders of technology” narrative when it comes to new health interventions Part of going after GLPs is because its current usage pattern is *extremely* novel. You don’t seem to want to acknowledge that, and that’s what distinguishes it from alcohol I would criticize the following health tech in the same vein as GLPs: crispr, neuralink, bizelmx and other psoriasis biologics, etc. There are more we can dig into Btw here’s a criticism of adderall in a reply to your cast from a year ago: https://warpcast.com/androidsixteen.eth/0x348ed298
