There was an air raid alert in several regions earlier due to a ballistic missile threat… then the news came out. russians targeted a residential area with a playground in Kryvyi Rih using a ballistic missile. 14 people are dead, 6 of them confirmed to be children, and over 50 are injured (including more children). it’s 1 a.m. and russian drones are cruising around nearby. 🤬😤 just a regular nightly terror from our neighbors. I’m sharing this so people understand that this is happening every day and night, and barely any of it makes the news anymore, so many people have the illusion that there’s some kind of movement toward a potential ceasefire on the russian side, but every day they prove they want to keep killing and occupying more cities.

Stopped by Etnodim to try on some vyshyvankas (Ukrainian embroidered shirts) 🇺🇦❤️ I love that we now have so many brands combining modern ethnic designs with folk traditions. The shirt on the right is dedicated to the legendary Slovo House, a unique apartment building in Kharkiv that housed Ukrainian writers, playwrights, and actors in the late 1920s and early 1930s. But it wasn’t just a residential building, it was the epicenter of the Ukrainian literary revival at the time, a vibrant creative hub that became a deathtrap. The Soviet government kept it under constant surveillance, which eventually led to repression and executions: 33 were killed, while others were exiled or sentenced to death in prisons. The extermination of this entire generation of powerful Ukrainian authors was later called the “Executed Renaissance.” The symbols on the shirt are dedicated to some of the writers, based on their creations.

We got to spend the whole morning with Eddy at the Superhumans Center. Today is a big day for him as he starts his physical therapy and is on the road to getting a prosthetic arm and leg within the next weeks. He is incredibly strong and already ready to continue his volunteer and advocacy work 🙏🫂 The attack on Eddy and the evacuation vehicle he and other aid workers were using to evacuate civilians from the frontline cities is a clear example of one of countless russian war crimes. It was fully documented (the moment of the attack was captured on the volunteers’ GoPro cameras) and it goes against the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit attacking medical or evacuation vehicles, deliberate targeting of their evacuation car by a drone is a violation of international humanitarian law.
