So.... Your nostalgia is strongest for when you had time to experience/benefit from the most of it.

I wonder how these results turn out when someone has multiple adverse childhood experiences (e.g. abuse, neglect) Would they still have the same nostalgia for the same average time periods?

I remember seeing studies that showed our favorite music & movies were from our β€œnostalgic” years, roughly age 13-21. This pretty much matches most of what I’ve seen

The important conclusion to make from this info: the world overwhelmingly is getting better over time, and it's up to our continued generations to make the most of it

As time goes by, there's a perfectly rational explanation to this though: We have now 60 to 70 years of modern music behind us, and a list of curated hits we KNOW are good, Vs an always higher number of fast produced music we have to currently sort through to find 1 good, which makes it seem like quality keeps dropping
