My only feedback is that as a onetime J-school student raised on the Canadian Press style guide, the Oxford comma hurts my soul 😂 Otherwise though, very thorough and helpful guide and I have shared with our /thenounsquare team. I particularly loved the sections on consistent tone and voice — so many brands don’t prioritize this and it’s v important. Oh, and I will just reiterate that it is somewhat inconsistent that the @base wordmark is AllCaps while the editorial prefers “Base”

crucial to onchain adoption as a whole: “Avoid excessive abstract language about "web3" or technical language around “blockchains,” etc. Ground writing in concrete examples of what Base enables: Affordable transactions, seamless user onboarding, simple developer tooling, etc” permissionless building ftw permissionless branding ftw 🌱🔵

Thank you for sharing this Jesse, it's very detailed and helpful! Quick question please, is it acceptable to use 'based'? For example: '/base-my is based' or 'so based' (more so in a casual post or dialogue, and not so much in a press release)

“Use of the word ‘onchain’ instead of ‘web3’ or ‘crypto’” Wouldn’t the use of the term imply that everything is onchain instead of having web3 define where we exist? I say this due to many of web3 not actually being fully onchain?

I understand avoiding USD pricing for global audience reasons, but using ETH feels a little contrary to rule 3 (avoiding technical terms). Outsiders might not even know what ETH is, much less how much it's worth. Any ideas how to resolve the issue?

You guys are really something. I liked when I started programming for apple on how easy it was to create anything. There were already integrated libraries and components for most basic needs and the documentation was top notch. Now I have the same vibe with @base . Everything is ready available or is being developed at light speeds. You are amazing and I think we could really make it to onboard the next 1B users. Thanks for all the effort and help received.
