we just open sourced the @base editorial style guide if you're building on @base, review (below), give feedback, and adopt β€” our goal is to help you grow.

we work hard to talk about @base and the onchain economy in a way *everyone* can understand. if you use our style, we're more likely to engage, reshare, and amplify what you're doing. and we're always open to feedback! https://github.com/base-org/brand-kit/blob/main/guides/editorial-style-guide.md

what’s your position on occasionally & strategically using β€œbase” vs β€œBase”? (less in community marketing & more in casual but public dialogue)

lorem ipsum throughout the "Graphic Elements" section, and what looks like missing logomarks in a couple places like this β€” assuming this is a white logomark on white BG

Great guide, will be sharing with my team πŸ™ Feedback: As a long time defender of the correct use of em dashes, they are usually used without spaces except in a printed newspaper context! The Merriam-Webster guide linked on this point also uses them without spaces!

Why use eth price denominations to emphasize the global economy? Price of global commodities, products and services are always denominated in usd (gold, oil, container transport etc). It is also less convenient to talk about a prrice of 0.00041eth instead of 1 usd. Even as European I mostly calculate my portofolio value in usd instead of euro's.

one question would be how do we refer to Base or onchain outside of farcaster and crypto twitter? for example when posting about /plantbased on LinkedIn (πŸ˜…) or IG, if I used those terms, the audience would be lost
