My only feedback is that as a onetime J-school student raised on the Canadian Press style guide, the Oxford comma hurts my soul 😂 

Otherwise though, very thorough and helpful guide and I have shared with our /thenounsquare team. I particularly loved the sections on consistent tone and voice — so many brands don’t prioritize this and it’s v important. 

Oh, and I will just reiterate that it is somewhat inconsistent that the @base wordmark is AllCaps while the editorial prefers “Base”

Specifically CP, which is a journalistic style guide with a heavy focus on clarity of language and removal of fluff. There are other Canadian academic style guides that are Oxford fans dw.

TIL that canadians are wrong about the oxford comma and there’s at least one thing in the world that i disagree with toady about ;)

yeah, aware of that inconsistency. we should figure out what to do about this @nngllzz.eth - i never loved that wordmark in the first place :)
