do $degen tips have the same value as sending $degen?

I feel like they aren't, but wondering if it's explained anywhere

This is the proper response.  The only other issue is the time value of $Degen.  

The tips everyone gives here like this:
2000 $Degen

Will be allocated from airdrop 2 (20% of supply) which will start distribution beginning by claim at Degen.tips on February 29.

airdrop 2 tips can be claimed in a couple of weeks; for this reason, claimable tips should be treated differently from actual, honest to god $degen sent via a wallet (ie, Jeeves). see pinned for a lot of chewy info.

tips are vested and fees also covered. Tips are not from your wallet.

I think tips are simply summed up until the airdrop claim. So it should be the same amount of $DEGEN in the end. But you can add DEGEN you already own to a LP on Uniswap, which gives you further points towards airdrop 2.

1 $DEGEN = 1 $DEGEN

Yes arguably more value as it’s locked until airdrop 2 and has no cost to send as a tip.
