Contracts and UIs sufficient for core operation of and interaction with @lidofinance are now deployed on Hoodi. At least 13 Curated node operators, 2 SDVT Clusters, and 6 CSM Operators are ready to test the Pectra HF on Hoodi next week, with more joining daily. On Monday anyone should be able to join Lido on Hoodi using CSM! Until then, check out these resources: Contracts: https://docs.lido.fi/deployed-contracts/hoodi/ Operators: https://operators-hoodi.testnet.fi Stake: https://stake-hoodi.testnet.fi Lido-cli: https://github.com/lidofinance/lido-cli/tree/develop (develop branch for Hoodi compatibility)

Well, seems like I jinxed it 😅 We're investigating an issue caused by the custom deposit contract on Sepolia. This has caused some EL clients to have issues including transactions in blocks.

🐦 I am extremely proud to announce that after 1.5 month of work and 361 commits our team released @rotki 1.38.0. It contains a lot of features with highlights being BSC support and assets graphs created from historical events. https://rotki.com/download A LOT more in there. Check below for details 👇

Holesky Slashing call update: We did not have enough validators online to finalize, but we saw less slashings than expected. Therefore, we're going to try and get enough validators online to finalize a block over the next couple days. If we haven't finalized a block by the Monday testing call, we'll coordinate mass slashings at that point. If you are reading this and run a Holesky validator, please get it back online ASAP and remove your slashing protection DB (to allow you to attest to the valid minority chain). More info here: https://github.com/ethereum/pm/blob/master/Pectra/holesky-postmortem.md You can watch the full recording here: https://youtube.com/watch?v=ksr-6iuSvrg

Quick Holesky incident update: - EL config issue is fixed, releases out - CL clients struggle to sync, working on patches, some are being tested right now - We expect to save Holesky by building on the minority chain 🤞 ACD check-in scheduled for 14:00 UTC tomorrow 🫡 https://x.com/parithosh_j/status/1894236676567785814

PdfLib.sol is a library for probability density functions in Solidity. I wrote up some of the process of building it here. And shout out to @prberg for both an amazing foundry template and math library 🙏 https://paragraph.xyz/@jamesmccomish/probability-density-function-library-in-solidity

Following community discussion before the holidays, throughout January Node Operators using @lidofinance started voting to raise the gaslimit. As of a few days ago, more than 60% of stake in the Lido protocol supports a 36M gaslimit, and today the network is consistently >30M. As more Node Operators signal that they'll follow suit as their own infra tests and readiness procedures are concluded, this is a very real example of how a protocol like Lido supports core Ethereum principles of rough consensus, community alignment, and careful steps forward. For the nifty chart: https://dune.com/lido/pumped-gas-dash To follow along the community consensus-driven approach of network scaling by Node Operators using Lido on Ethereum: https://research.lido.fi/t/community-sentiment-around-raising-the-gas-limit/8996

Ethereum's purpose is to be the bedrock for interactions between people, companies, protocols, and institutions in a world that is turning once again to extremes, polarization, and isolationism. Ethereum is about a free and interconnected world of sovereign individuals who want to cooperate for the future.

I think command palette is a vastly underexplored UI pattern in crypto. Such a data-dense, navigation-rich environment yearns for a keyboard-first experience. @rainbow made some great things with it, but that's pretty much it (am I missing someone?) Started some work around it already, and will be doubling down.

Lido Simple DVT Module is here! 72 net-new Node Operators, including solo stakers, powered by @obol-based Distributed Validator Technology (DVT), are ready to run validators. https://blog.lido.fi/simpledvt-new-phase-for-lido-on-ethereum/ Expectations are, over time, for 250 net-new NOs to use Lido to run validators.

Second Geth master teaser (or perhaps heads up this time). Geth v1.14.x will drop support for pre-merge networks. We need to do this to delete a massive amount of code from out repository.
