Following community discussion before the holidays, throughout January Node Operators using @lidofinance started voting to raise the gaslimit. As of a few days ago, more than 60% of stake in the Lido protocol supports a 36M gaslimit, and today the network is consistently >30M. As more Node Operators signal that they'll follow suit as their own infra tests and readiness procedures are concluded, this is a very real example of how a protocol like Lido supports core Ethereum principles of rough consensus, community alignment, and careful steps forward.
