i’d say my split is prob 95/5 in favor of fc FC kind ppl - have made hundreds of friends here, met up w quite a few irl, ppl respond thoughtfully here earning - degen, rounds, warpcast rewards, airdrops (there were multiple 5 fig airdrops last year for simply being active) content - crypto content feels more focused on long term building/ideation, and there is a ton of other content here - i’ve loved being super active in the photography community here onchain connectivity and social graph - have already ported over 6k followers to rodeo bc they tie in fc social graph, will be many more cases of this, aligned w ethos on social identity X negativity, lot of focus on narratives and short term trades, less ability to customize what i want to read/see - here i can go to channels not a lot of interest in playing algo games - fc has been an outlet to just share anything versus only sharing in a niche i often close the app feeling worse than when i opened it, have the exact opposite experience on fc

Signal to noise ratio is better here. I do still use X but a lot less frequently. Still, most of CT seems to have an aversion to Farcaster. This platform has the potential to be the central platform for crypto. It has wallet integrations, mini apps, etc. It couldn’t be more crypto native if it tried. But the narrative outside the platform has been driven by folks who don’t use it daily. Hopefully that changes.

I like to think that my actions matter, being on twitter meant supporting people against basic human rights and being ok with injustice. It didn’t seem like that on Farcaster but you never know.

I can't remember the last time I posted on X and didn't regret it (either zero engagement or negative/dunks). I still read a list sometimes, but at this point I'm more likely to regret *not* posting on farcaster. Even when I'm hesitant, outcomes always exceed my expectations. Continue to meet lots of great people here, havent felt that way about Twitter since 2014.

Arguments here are more sensible and there’s always room for compromise. Farcaster feels more like a community where everyone is familiar with each other and there is good censorship internally before replies. X feels more like a pond of sharks and all sorts of fishes the Noise is much and it dilutes the good info available, I use both but only use x to amplify reach for farcaster.

I use X but very minimal I’d say less than 10 mins a day. Vs Warpcast I spend hours on here 😂. Just better signal to ratio, more shipping, more technical talk and nerds here. Some speculation but not the main drivers which is how I like it. Made a ton of friends here now and the ppl here support me well and I return the favor

It's easier to create something here than twitter. Twitter has some inner circle, is full of bots and many times your posts arent that promoted while here youncan enter a space and get attention

Tbh more and more every time I go on X it feels like I'm in the middle of a Klan rally. The network effects of the platform are still there but the noise to signal ratio on the platform is insane right now. I hope another app with proper moderation can take its place.
