"Left" and "right" seem especially tired in the context of crypto, which enables new kinds of self-sovereignty *and* collective action. Working in a low status industry full of high agency weirdos has meant bumping into many people with heterodox politics. I think this is good.

I love the space because it's so revealing how our previous assumptions were held back or outright wrong. A lot of people are becoming "woke" to this. The sad toxic thing is when we try to regress back to "the way things were before" as if the past is inherently virtuous, ignoring the context of the present or what we could aspire to in the future.

The goal should be for crypto not to be a low status industry. (Would argue we’re already on our way there.)

💯 and we need a lot more of this heterodox thinking in crypto. Somewhat related: https://warpcast.com/abundance/0x66a182bb

I agree; specifically the values associated with left and right are extremely tired. Every time I see ppl in crypto trying to shoehorn in their obsession with the current bipartisan landscape to make crypto some kind of swing topic I just shake my head. We're literally here to replace that broken system. 🤦

Don't think that most people have a clue about the libertarian and Austrian school principles in crypto, especially Bitcoin or liberal, socialist or Keynisian economic principals. At best, left - right is a paradox rather than a contradiction. And for the rest, people just do what they want and we seem to be repeating 150 economic mistakes in 15 years. But variety in thinking is certainly a good thing

Yeah I think it adds a y-axis to the left and right spectrum. Maybe centralized vs decentralized, or something more interesting
