Switched my default search engine to DuckDuckGo. Let’s see if I can stick with it! So far, I’ve got better results than Google

I’ve been using it for a year. Results are generally good but if they’re not, just add !g and it searches on Google

For code, it can be a little eh. Google is more consistent. But prefer it as my default on principle.

I’ve been trying Ecosia for a bit. Worse results maybe, but nowadays I feel like I’m doing searches in specific places (Slack, YouTube) more than a general search engine

Been on DDG as default mobile search browser for years - occasionally have to google for some things but good for everyday use

Been on it for 6 months. Has been similar to google, sometimes better sometimes worse. It's particularly worse for geolocalized data (maps is really good for search).

Been using DDG for a couple of years now. It failed to stick a few times, but Google got worse as much as DDG got better.

I’ve started to just ask questions to GPT-3 for most Google queries. Seems to get me what I want with less sifting through sites.

I did that a while back but not happy with the results Yes the privacy might be better but this comes at the cost of convenience - the age old tradeoff I guess. So I find myself going to google frequently after starting with ddg

I’ve been using Brave the browser for a few years and switched to their search engine when it was first in beta (year or so ago). It’s good enough to stick

I’ve tried this but the search and news algo is really not as good imo.
