I have had two therapists so far. Helped me work out a lot of issues that I didnโ€™t know I was creating myself and also showed me how to move on! Therapy has also helped me communicate my feelings, expectations and hurt effectively. 1828378% recommend! I wish everyone had a therapist!!

I have had a therapist for 12 years now. She has been fundamental to my life and idk what Iโ€™d do without her. I did my degree in psych, so feel free to dm if you have any questions accessing therapy, about therapists, types of therapy etc! telegram.me/samantha_chai

Done some individual, was okay, finding someone that suits your needs is kinda hard. Done couples, great xp! Done coaching too with @coachcoale which doesnโ€™t replace therapy but has some overlap when youโ€™re digging into professional related ideas/blockers. This was game changer. DMs always open!

do a lot of shopping around. find one that makes you spill your guts and feel good about doing it. don't keep going to one just because you had one session together. write down a list of questions to ask them on the first session as you shop around and learn what matters to you

- yes, started jan 2023 - i think it's changed my life for the better - specifically, being able to talk about events/situations with more clarity and understanding (of myself and others) - being able to react to difficult situations with more thought - prob many more things i can't necessarily quantify yet

I have experience being a parent of a child with anxiety. He saw a therapist that practices cognitive behavioral therapy- it helped him understand how his brain works and gave him practical tools and exercises to manage his anxiety.

I tried back in my 20s. I never enjoyed it nor did I find it effective. Meditation and Xanax were my solutions. Also time. I just needed to wait for time to drag me through the rough patch.

I went through a therapy season after getting myself a clinical depression back in late 2014. The therapist really helped me understand what happened, why did I end up in this dark place and how to get out of it.

Strongly positive experience. It has been incredibly stabilizing and productive for me. You get out of it what you put in, I think. A lot of good providers are out-of-network and expensive (assuming US) but I ultimately accepted it as an important investment in myself and my future. So far the payoff seems worth it?

@followethrabbit is a therapist herself if youโ€™ve got any questions. They all have different styles and vibes so finding one that you connect with is important. Itโ€™s normal to โ€˜shopโ€™ around for the right fit and is worth it when you do.

Best investment you will ever make imo, I've been somewhat consistently seeing a therapist for 2ish yrs now and it's been life changing. Also, found out I have ADHD at 32yrs old which is now medicated and life is ๐ŸคŒ๐ŸคŒ
