A few additional thoughts: - I don’t necessarily view the EPA as reliable either going forward. I trust them over Apple right now, but why? None of it is verifiable by me and therefore suspect. I am not sure we have a good source of truth for air quality. May be worth continuing the community driven efforts like the sign itself if you are living in a place you are invested in for the long term. I have been contemplating building an air quality app myself and I realize now if at all possible it needs multiple sources - Air as a weapon: as it were we all have to breathe. MKULTRA experimented with dispersing biological weapons via air with Operation Sea Soray. I might argue it doesn’t even need to be that complex. Just make it so that in a given place the air is toxic and the information environment prevents them from discovering that in time

Here's another piece you guys might find interesting. Costa Rica is looking to position itself as a new hub for semiconductor manufacturing as the U.S. looks to diversify away from Taiwan. What advantage does the Central America country have? Lots of the clean, firm power chipmakers want.
